Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of Scanrabbit, a packing and barcode scanning service provided by Stakara (Pty) Ltd (“Scanrabbit”, “we”, “us”) through the Shopify App Store and the Scanrabbit iOS and Android apps. By installing or using Scanrabbit, the merchant agrees to these Terms.

2. The service

Scanrabbit helps merchants verify items while picking and packing Shopify orders, tag orders as Packed, and optionally print labels or submit waybills through connected integrations. Features may change over time. We do not promise that Scanrabbit will prevent every packing error.

3. Merchant responsibilities

  • You must have authority to install Scanrabbit on the Shopify store and to grant the requested permissions.
  • You are responsible for team member access, account security, and how your staff use the apps.
  • You are responsible for accurate Shopify product, barcode, inventory, and order data.
  • You remain responsible for checking that packed orders are correct before they ship.

4. Billing

Plans, trials, recurring charges, usage charges, cancellation, and taxes are managed through Shopify according to the Scanrabbit listing and Shopify’s billing process. Unused allowances do not roll over unless the listing says otherwise. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.

5. Integrations

Optional integrations such as BobGo, ShipTheory, and printer connections are provided subject to availability and the third party’s own terms. ShipTheory may require setup support. Waybill costs and carrier charges apply only when those integrations are used, and are separate from Scanrabbit subscription charges unless stated otherwise in the listing.

6. Acceptable use

You may use Scanrabbit only for lawful business purposes related to your store’s packing and fulfillment operations. You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with other merchants, reverse engineer the apps except where permitted by law, or use Scanrabbit in a way that harms Shopify buyers or violates Shopify’s terms.

7. Service changes and suspension

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features as needed to operate and improve the service, address security issues, or comply with law. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or activity that risks the service or other users.

8. Ownership and feedback

Scanrabbit, including its software, branding, and documentation, remains owned by Stakara (Pty) Ltd and its licensors. You keep ownership of your store data. If you send feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

9. Disclaimer

Scanrabbit is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that every packed order will be free of mistakes.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stakara (Pty) Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability arising out of or relating to Scanrabbit is limited to the fees you paid for Scanrabbit through Shopify in the three months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using Scanrabbit at any time by uninstalling the Shopify app and deleting the mobile apps. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimer, liability limits, and governing law, continue after termination.

12. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in South Africa have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer or commercial law.
